In 1961 the Karmann was sold new in Norway. Ordered is this Ghia coupe in the beautiful color scheme L398 pacific blue with a two-tone interior in turquoise/ice blue. In the same year (1961) this Karmann Ghia coupe ended up in the United States. The 1st owner, Ivan F, owned this car until about 1985, the 2nd owner the Larson family owned it until its departure from the USA. In 2016 this beautiful Karmann arrived in the Netherlands and was in a museum until our purchase. Realistically, this is a Karmann Ghia bought from the 3rd owner. it is a Karmann in a very original condition and good condition. There is also a lot of documentation such as the purchase receipt, the service booklet, various invoices and a certificate from VW is also included. Rarely do we come across them as original and complete as this one. His paint does show a scratch and damage after 63 years, but that certainly doesn’t look out of place for this survivor of time. If you are looking for an original untinkered Ghia, then this is a really good one.
This Karmann Ghia comes with its USA title/ paperwork. The engine runs well and the car drives well, but it has been standing still for a long time. Maintenance is therefore necessary. We can also bring this up-to-date for you, so that a new stamp can be added to his original maintenance booklet. Shipping can be arranged.
