This is the larger and rarer sibling within the Karmann Ghia family and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful designs Volkswagen ever produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Type 34 is in very nice condition, with a solid and clean chassis, and still retains its original interior \u2013 something rarely seen on this model. It is also equipped with a rare and expensive VDM steering wheel, perfectly matching the period and the car\u2019s character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the car features oil temperature and oil pressure gauges, as well as a period-correct Blaupunkt radio, completing the original-style look with subtle additional instrumentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before delivery, this Karmann Ghia will receive a full service and preparation. This includes fresh fluids, valve adjustment, and full lubrication, ensuring it is completely ready for the upcoming season and carefree summer driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Type 34 Karmann Ghia is a relatively unknown model but can rightfully be seen as Volkswagen\u2019s flagship of that era. It remains remarkable that Volkswagen sold two completely different cars under the same \u201cKarmann Ghia\u201d name \u2013 both in design and engineering \u2013 which often causes confusion but also adds to its charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This example was built in 1968 but first registered in 1972 in the Netherlands. The exact reason is unknown; it may have been a demonstration or exhibition vehicle. This makes it likely one of the last registered examples of the model.
